Old Manali....
It was in the month of January
2017, we decided this trip as our ‘honeymoon’ , an off season of course. We booked
overnight bus to Manali from Delhi and from there we planned to take a vehicle
to Old Manali (2.5 kms, 13-15 mins drive). We reached the bus stop of Manali
early morning at 6:30 approx. Cold wind was blowing and was very chilly. We planned
this trip intentionally just to feel the tranquility of the place. We expected
snow as it was new for both of us. Our google research told us that snow fall
can be there (though we were not at all prepared physically for such weather). We
decided to take a call.
The room that we booked was a
guest house located in a small village. It was over whelming to see the simple
people getting themselves wet in the chilly cold water, carrying out their
daily work. We were awestruck!!!
Season come and go!!I stand still since ages!!
My husband with Minaram (the guy who owned the guest house), the former trying to find out about the place and the residing people.
How can a trip be complete without writing poems??
I just stand there speechless!!!
The apple orchard waiting for the season to turn lush green!!!
We stay here, live here since eternity and till nature accepts us!!
Now I am orange in color...I enjoy this in contrast with the snow flaked mountains!!!
This doggy walked with us till the nearby stream!!!
Closing eyes and feeling the breeze along with the sound of the stream....Nothing can be better than this feeling!!! BLESSED!!!
The small, wrecked village on the way to the Guest House!!!AWESTRUCK!!!
Snow knocked the mountains!!! The few leaves on the trees holding the brunches tight to survive!!Slowly and slowly the snow flakes fell from the brunches, the later unable to support it for long!
The first snow in life!!!Hold me tight till eternity!!
I stand here all alone!!! Hardly receive any letters in this techno world! A hope that I will receive letter some day from somewhere!!
The last word reveals some 'mandir'...
The structure of 'some' mandir....in a snowy and chilly hill!!!
Blind faith of the local people!!!The only thing that prevails....
'Shivmandir' In Vasisth,(19.3 kms from Old Manali, 1 hr 12 mins drive approx)
The natural hot spring underground water in Vasisth!!! There is no end to nature creation!!!
